Early Drop Off and After School Programs
While our classes begin at 8:30 a.m., children may be dropped off as early at 7:30 a.m. at no additional cost to parents. Half Day Students are dismissed at 11:15 a.m. Full day students are dismissed between 2:45 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. We also extend the school day until 6:00 p.m. for those who need it with our After-School program. Please refer to the tuition rates form for additional information.
Playground
LES offers an outdoor playground for our students. Your children are at school for the nicest part of day, and we believe they need to get outdoors to run, play, and socialize.
Art Program
When you walk through the doors at LES you are immediately struck by the student art that decorates our lobby. Students in First through Eighth Grades are introduced to different artists and styles of art, often creating their own versions of famous works of art. Students work with a variety of materials, creating both 2-D and 3-D art, in the Susan Johnson Art Studio.
Christian Life at LES
Our youngest students begin to learn about the Bible and the story of Jesus at weekly “Little Chapel.” This weekly meeting is full of Bible stories and singing, and includes a Nursery, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten student sharing a prayer each week. The values taught in each Bible story reinforce what it means to be kind and a good friend.
When students enter First Grade they join the older students in walking over to Bethlehem Lutheran Church for “Big Chapel.” With similar goals, students take ownership for the worship service and develop leadership skills as they read passages from the Bible, lead prayer, and collect the offering. Students study the Bible as part of their academic curriculum as well.
